About Birauta.com
Our Story:
Pokhara is more than just a pin on a map; it is a collection of vibrant neighborhoods, each with its own secrets. Birauta.com was born out of a simple observation: while the world knows about Lakeside, the true gateway to Pokhara’s southern wonders—the caves, the waterfalls, and the rising peaks of Pumdikot—starts right here in Birauta.
We realized that travelers often spend hours searching for basic logistics: Where is the bus stop? How do I get to the Shiva Statue without a tour guide? Which trail leads to the Peace Pagoda? We decided to build the resource we wished we had—a “no-nonsense” digital encyclopedia for the independent explorer.
Our Mission: Information, Not Intermediation
We are not a travel agency. We don’t sell tickets, we don’t book hotels, and we don’t provide tour guides.
Our mission is to provide Location Intelligence. We believe that the best way to see Pokhara is at your own pace. By providing the “where” and the “how,” we empower you to navigate the city like a local. Whether you are a backpacker on a budget or a local resident rediscovering your backyard, this site is your digital compass.
What Makes Us Different?
Neighborhood First: We focus on the “little details”—the specific crossroads, the local micros, and the neighborhood landmarks that big travel sites overlook.
Independent Advocacy: Our content is designed for those who want to skip the “package tour” and experience the authentic, raw beauty of Nepal.
Data-Driven: We focus on logistics and routes. We provide the facts; you provide the adventure.
How to Support Us
Since we don’t charge for information or offer paid services, we sustain this project through affiliate partnerships. If you find our guides helpful and choose to book your stay or adventure through the links on our site, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the servers running and the information flowing.
A Note to Our Visitors
We are strictly an information portal. To keep our focus on creating the best content possible, we do not offer personal travel consulting or phone support. Everything we know is already on these pages—happy exploring!
